Aarhusians enjoy Ascension Day under the sun

by Giang Pham

Yesterday was Ascension Day – known as Kristi Himmelfartsdag in Denmark – a Christian holiday celebrated 40 days after the resurrection of Jesus Christ and a public holiday in Denmark, which means that most were off work, with many stores closed.

With the nice weather, feeling like summer already, some citizens of Aarhus spent their morning at a special mass service at church, while others enjoyed the summer vibes outdoors.

Photographer Giang Pham captured the spirit of the holiday on one of the sunniest days in Aarhus so far.
