The journey of most successful people who have managed to create an impact can be traced back to a singular idea. Ideas hold the potential to change the world. In recent years, TED has established itself as the pioneer of ideas by providing a platform where people can share their “Ideas worth spreading”, usually in the form of short, powerful talks.
The global non-profit has also attempted to localise their conferences through TEDx events. Are you intrigued yet? Enter… TEDxAarhus. This is a local, independent, self-organized event that brings people together to share a TED-like experience. TEDxAarhus combines live speakers with TED talk videos to spark deep discussion and create connections.
TEDx Aarhus is now searching for inspiring people from diverse backgrounds. Remind you of someone? Nominate them! There is no such thing as a typical TEDx speaker and you don’t have to be a professional speaker to be selected. An idea worth spreading is all you need.
If that sounds like you or someone you know, don’t hesitate! Submit your application or nomination through www.tedxaarhus.com. Applications close April 15.
Through live events that take place throughout the year, TEDxAarhus seeks to amplify ideas regardless of their ages or backgrounds and take them to the global stage. The TEDxAarhus team is now looking for speaker nominations from the Aarhus community! Interested people can nominate themselves or someone they know to speak.
If you have an idea that you believe deserves to see the light of day, TEDxAarhus is the perfect mouthpiece for you! Since 2016, TEDxAarhus has delivered annual ‘TED-like’ conferences and free community events attended by local citizens, business people, academics, creatives and students. Their events aim to unleash fresh ideas through live talks across industries including sustainability, design, technology, health, science and education that spark discussion and connection.
If the thought of speaking in front of a live audience gets your heartbeat racing and your palms sweaty, you need not worry. Speakers at TEDxAarhus get up to 18 minutes on stage to present their ideas, and the TEDxAarhus team helps them prepare for it every step of the way. After the live conference, all talks are published on the TEDx YouTube channel, watched and shared with viewers across the globe. Currently, TEDxAarhus talks have been watched online by over 2.7million people worldwide.
